A dismissal could go on to be classed as unfair in the eyes of the tribunal if an employer dismisses an employee for no good reason, fails to use a fair procedure, such as the Acas code of practice, or the employer fails to follow their own documented disciplinary and dismissal policy and procedure.
Employers can help address what is still seen as a taboo subject by introducing specific menopause policies and training to improve managers’ awareness of its symptoms and their responsibilities.
